On June 14, 1989 the government of Ghana froze the activities of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) and of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. This inspiring video shows how the Mormons coped with the government prohibition of their meetings for the 18 months the ban was in effect.
“We don’t need to blame any government for what happened to us. No one. It is the Lord who allowed it to happen for his own purposes.” The Mormons there became much stronger individually and collectively because of this freeze. It was ultimately a blessing.
